It is a slow and careful process of discovering, seeing, and accepting your whole self. The Psychotherapy session provides the openings and opportunity to “take off your mask” and allow another person to see you for who you are as you are beginning to trust that they will accept you. This true acceptance by another is used to transition to self acceptance and to liberate your soul from fear and guilt. As a result you can relax into being and start to follow that which inspires you.
You can bring any issue (depression, anxiety, relationship problems) or symptom to a session. All symptoms are seen as messages that something inside of us needs our attention. It is this attention that is often easier to give in a presence of a trusted “other”.
Most of us have emotional wounds that need healing, attention and forgiveness. We can have goals that range from modifying character structure and increasing capacity to building intimate relationships to deepening the capacity for being more fully alive.
